Toronto singer and multi-instrumentalist, Ferguson has played with Canadian pop icon Sloan since 1991. They continue to release influential pop-rock albums satisfying fans and bands across the globe.
2. “I Know” – Remix by Michael Madill
Michael Madill founded Madsound (*madsound.org*) to create custom sound design and music for apps & games, most recently DC Universe Online (SOE). The Detroiter has created music under many names. Recent remix work is being perpetrated under the auspices of Musicontrol.
3. "Fool For Long" – Remix by Ryan Schaefer
Ryan Schaefer is the frontman, keyboardist and beatmaster of the Knoxville, TN band Royal Bangs.
4. "First Kiss" – Remix by Zach Shipps
Detroit multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, engineer Zach Shipps has played and recorded with a laundry list of Detroit acts including Brendan Benson (The Raconteurs), The Atomic Numbers, and his current band, Electric Six. Co-writing and producing the last half dozen Electric Six albums, the band has had top 10 UK hits, a gold record, and toured hard on five continents. He's worked with Ladytron, Hard Lessons, punk legends The Meatmen, and done TV / film / commercial work for Milk's award-winning "White Gold" campaign, EA Games, and
Match.com among others. Most recently, he did a remix for Australia’s Midnight Juggernauts.
5. “Operator” – Remix by Steve Krecklo
Guitarist, producer and engineer, Toronto musician Steve Krecklo has worked with Small Sins, K-OS, Major Maker, Cuff the Duke and the Mark Inside. As a member of the bands Small Sins (Astralwerks/ Arts & Crafts) and hip-hop musician K-OS, Krecklo has toured the world with both pop and hip-hop giants. He is one of those musicians / producers who can pick up any instrument and play it, in any musical style you can think of.
6. “Fast Asleep” - Remix by Daniel
An artist and producer working out of the Detroit area, Daniel has worked with A Place to Bury Strangers, Mobius Band and Cruel Black Dove. After playing in the band Judah Johnson, Daniel is now a solo artist, releasing his debut album Lazrus in 2009. He is currently at work on his second release.
7. “Fool for Long” – Remix by Matt Thornley
Working closely with DFA Records, engineer, musician and producer Thornley, has worked in the studio with DFA producers Tim Goldsworthy and James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem). Thornley has worked with !!!, Hot Chip and on recordings for Holy Ghost and LCD Soundsystem. Most recently Thornley became a member of The Crystal Ark (after recording with Gavin Russom on the early sessions for the project) worked on a movie soundtrack with James Murphy for the Ben Stiller film Greenberg and continues to DJ and produce.
Remix Wrangler – Shannon McCarthy
Currently based in Ferndale, Michigan, three blocks from Detroit, Shannon McCarthy has worked in various avenues of the music industry, including over 10 years as critic/journalist as well as assisting musicians achieve their goals in music PR. They say those who can’t, teach. She may not be in a band, but she knows the inside and outs of the lifestyle and work it takes to be a working musician. When she first heard Lettercamp, McCarthy knew she wanted to be a part of something/anything she could with the band. So she jumped on board to bring in producers for this remix project as both an experiment and a vision of something more that can be done with the current trend of music’s place on the Internet.
